(RALEIGH) -- Citrix today announced that in response to rapidly increasing demand for ShareFile, the secure and reliable file sharing service, it will move its North Carolina offices to an ultra-modern 130,000 square-foot office space in the warehouse district of downtown Raleigh.

The facility will become the new development center for the data sharing product group which is expected to more than double in size over the next five years. This move follows Gov. Bev Perdue’s June announcement of Citrix’s plans to create 337 jobs and invest $12.5 million in North Carolina. The move is anticipated to be completed in 2013.

“We are delighted to have Citrix, a major leader in cloud computing and mobile workstyle, supporting our vision for Raleigh,” said Mayor Nancy McFarlane. “The company’s move into the warehouse district provides a shot in the arm for the revitalization of what is swiftly becoming a key area of the city. With recent business expansion and a new train station in the works, we’re seeing new energy pouring into the redevelopment of downtown.”

The company’s new facility will retain the classic urban style of the original warehouse environment, while being outfitted with the latest technology to facilitate workshifitng, collaboration and teamwork. Citrix is also planning for amenities and resources to inspire employee creativity, innovation and healthy workstyles including a rooftop garden, yoga studio and indoor/outdoor dining.
