Charlotte To Host NBA All-Star Game |

CHARLOTTE – The buzz around the NBA All-Star game will be in the Queen City in 2017 as Charlotte will be hosting the mid-season game and other events.
“We are thrilled to showcase the City of Charlotte and the state of North Carolina on a global stage and welcome the NBA and its fans,” Governor McCrory said. “Thanks go to Commissioner Adam Silver and the NBA, to Michael Jordan and the Hornets and to everyone who played a part in bringing the All-Star Game to Charlotte.”
Governor McCrory was joined at the conference by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, Hornets Chairman Michael Jordan, Hornets President & COO Fred Whitfield, Charlotte Mayor Dan Clodfelter, Novant Health Chief Consumer Officer Jesse Cureton, and Lincoln Harris President Johnny Harris.
Charlotte first hosted the NBA All-Star game in 1991. The 2017 NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
