(MATTHEWS) -- Family Dollar Stores, Inc. reported that net sales for is fiscal fourth quarter increased 8 percent to $1.957 billion. This is up from $1.811 billion during the same period last year. Comparable store sales for the quarter increased 6.1 percent. |

(CHARLOTTE) -- A group of Charlotte-area technology executives and entrepreneurs have launched a new organization aimed at providing a resource for technology companies and technology entrepreneurs. The Charlotte Regional Technology Executive Council or CRTEC plans to provide education and economic development support of technology companies in the Charlotte region. |

GSK Epilepsy Drug Delayed |

(RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK) -- GlaxoSmithKline and Valeant Pharmaceuticals International may have to wait until several more months for federal regulatory review of ezogabine, an investigational anti-epileptic drug. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration extended the Prescription Drug User Fee Act goal date for ezogabine to November 30, 2010. The original goal date was August 30, 2010. |
