Jeff Gordon (DARLINGTON, SC) -- This is not a repeat of last Monday's report. Rain did once again force a Saturday Nextel Cup Series race Sunday and a Hendrick Motorsports driver again won the race. Jeff Gordon overcame a leaky radiator for the win at Darlington Raceway. "At the end of the day we are getting the results we are looking for. To me, that means more than anything else," said Gordon. This is the third victory of the season for Gordon and the fourth in a row for Hendrick Motorsport.Denny Hamlin again came close but had to settle for second. He blames his pit crew. "If we lose by 20 or 30 points when it comes down to the championship we know exactly where we lost it and that's on pit road," said Hamlin. More than one Hendrick driver finished in the top five on Sunday. This is a repeat too. Jimmie Johnson took a third place finish. "I'm just real proud of our organization," said Johnson. This was also the fifth race using the new Car of Tomorrow. That means the Hendrick organization is five for five in the COT.
