Kevin Harvick (CHARLOTTE) -- After Saturday night's win at the Nextel All-start Challenge at Lowes Motor Speedway, Kevin Harvick was proud of winning the Daytona 500 and the All-star Challenge in the same year. "This is a pretty elite group. It's just I said at Daytona I mean that's an elite group and it's pretty special to put your name on that list with everybody else," said Harvick. The $1 million prize doesn't hurt either. Car owner Richard Childress was feeling a lot of pride as well. Harvick's win adds another All-star Challenge victory for the Childress team. "It brought back a lot of memories from the days when Dale [Earnhardt] won these races and I was a part of it with him. It's just special to win at Charlotte," said Childress. Dale Earnhardt racked up three All-star Challenges in his career. Harvick held off race favorite Jimmie Johnson. "We had something go wrong up in the front springs. We were wearing the left front out, almost had a flat tire a couple of times. To rebound through all that and come home a close second, I'm very proud of this team," said Johnson.
