Martin Truex Jr. (UPDATE) -- Dale Earnhart Incorporated driver Martin Truex Jr. has made a steady climb up the Nextel Cup point standings. He now holds the 16th spot in the points. With Dale Earnhardt Jr. leaving DEI at the end of this season, Truex is ready to take on a leadership role. "You know, do a lot of things that are good for the company, good for people's morale around here, knowing that Dale Jr. leaves but it's not over," said Truex. He believes his number one Chevrolet team can win a few races this season and make the Chase. "Dale Jr. is a great asset to the company obviously, but we can go on, we can drive, we can win races." His best chance at a win might come on Sunday at Dover International Raceway. The New Jersey native consider this his home track. "Really looking forward to Dover. That's the kind of a race I've always got circled on my calendar. It is one I look forward to going to close to where I grew up. A lot of friends and family come to the race there."
