(UPDATE) -- Yes, Dale Jr. announced his big Hendrick deal this week and last Sunday, Cup Series leader Jeff Gordon landed a series-tying 4th victory for the season. The fact that Matt Kenseth moved up to second in the standings may have been overlooked.

Michigan is on tap this weekend where Kenseth has won twice and has six top-fives and 10 top 10s. "It's just a big wide open track," said Kenseth. "Everything kinda has to be right there."

His last win there was in the old car, but Sunday's Citizen's Bank 400 will run the Car of Tomorrow. "They really have a lot of rear grip and not a lot of front grip and that's something we got to work hard on."

"It's just a fun track," said Kenseth. "You move around and try to find a groove that works for your car, and there's always a lot of passing there and I think it's always an exciting race."
