(UPDATE) -- One NASCAR Nextel Cup driver who is quietly keeping himself in Chase contention is Carl Edwards. He ended a win drought last Sunday and moved up one slot to 6th in the standings. He believes patience is the key. "I've learned through trial and a lot of error that you can't make things happen faster than they are going to happen. You can only do the best job you can," said Edwards.

Chemistry between Edwards and his crew chief, Bob Osborne keeps him focused. "Bob know as soon as something happens he can tell when I say something, ya know, exactly how mad I'm gettin' or, ya know, how close to exploding I am. We know each other well enough, so he can help me with that."

Edwards has one top 10 at Infineon and finished 6th there last season.
