Denny Hamlin (LOUDON, NH) -- Denny Hamlin picked up his first Nextel Cup victory of the season by winning the Lenox 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway. It is his first win in 32 races. "We know that when we unload we have a top-five race car each and everytime we hit the racetrack, so with a couple of lucky breaks here and there, we can win a lot of races," said Hamlin.Hamlin's break came with a decision to only take two tires in the final pit stop. This gave him a half car length victory over points leader Jeff Gordon. "It was a great finish. Man we had a shot at him. It was so close. There at the end obviously we had the best car, but just ran out of laps," said Gordon. Martin Truex Junior finished third and is surprised he could not catch Hamlin. "That last caution came out and we got four tires and my car was never the same on them tires. I'm not sure what the deal was," said Truex. Dale Earnhard Junior finished fourth followed by Jimmie Johnson. The next stop for the Cup Series is the 400 at Daytona.
