(UPDATE) -- In his nine seasons running in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, Tony Stewart's sails usually catch the wind during the second half of the schedule. That's why he wasn't worried about his season win drought before Sunday's victory at Chicagoland. "You know you can't have bad luck forever and there's been times when we've had strings when we couldn't do anything wrong and had all the luck go our way," said Stewart. This latter phase of good luck may be starting now for the two-time NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion.

After the break this week, there's a string of races where the number 20 orange Home Depot car has excelled, places like Indy, Pocono and Watkins Glen. "It's not a life or death situation if you have a bad day as long as after 26 races you're in that top-12 group."

Stewart missed the Chase last year, but he doesn't plan on letting that happen again. "As long as you're in the top-12, it doesn't matter if you're first or 12th." Remember, he won three of the final 10 races last year.
