(DAYTONA BEACH, FL) -- Robby Gordon is paying the price for disruptive behavior after he protested a NASCAR ruling during the closing laps of the Busch Series race in Montreal. He then did a burnout on the track as Kevin Harvick celebrated a win.

Gordon was not allowed to race in the Nextel Cup event on Sunday, but NASCAR is not finished with him. "NASCAR has fined Robby Gordon $35,000 and placed him on probation for the rest of the 2007 season," said NASCAR Vice President of Corporate Communications, Jim Hunter. There are further implications for Gordon as part of his probation. "If he does anything that is detrimental to the sport or disruptive in an event between now and 2007, he will be suspended indefinitely."
