(BRISTOL, TN) -- Carl Edwards held off Kasey Kahne Saturday to win the Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. It is the second win for Edwards this season. "I think every short track racer around the country right now is thinking, man I'd love to win that. That was me five or six years ago, so glad to be here," said Edwards. The win locks Edwards into the Chase.

Kasey Kahne was happy with his second place finish and with the progress his team has made to improve his Car of Tomorrow. "I am looking forward to running that car the rest of the year when we do, and next week I wish when we go to California it was a COT race, but it's not," said Kahne.

Clint Bowyer ran third and hopes to carry this momentum into the Chase. "I gotta make that next step and I believe we can do that. When we do, we'll be a championship contending team," said Bowyer.

Tony Stewart finished fourth and Dale Earnhardt Jr. failed to improve his chances at making the Chase by finishing fifth.
