Jimmie Johnson (RICHMOND, VA) -- This year the number of wins during the season determine seeding for the Chase, and Jimmie Johnson's win at Richmond on Saturday night gives him six wins this season. This puts him in first place to start the title run this coming weekend. "We really have taken advantage of the seeding process and done all that we can there. I think we've had a good season, but I think at the end of the year we'll all have a better idea of how this seeding process plays out," said Johnson.Meanwhile, Dale Earnhardt Junior needed a strong finish Saturday night to qualify for the Chase, but he blew an engine in the final laps for a DNF. He was emotional about missing the Chase. "I'm just real upset for my team, my guys that work all weekend to make that car work and make that car run like it did tonight, I'm just upset for my team, they deserve better," said Earnhardt. The 12 driver field for the Chase has Johnson seeded first with Jeff Gordon second, Tony Stewart third, followed by Carl Edwards, Kurt Busch, Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Junior, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer.
