(UPDATE) -- Jeff Gordon's second place finish at New Hampshire on Sunday ties him in points with Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson. Gordon is pleased with the top-five. "Hopefully we can carry that next week at Dover and try to pull off another top-five," said Gordon.

Gordon remains second in the standings for the second consecutive week. Johnson has more wins this season, so he holds on the top spot in the standings. This week at Dover marks the return of the Car of Tomorrow. Hendrick Motorsports has won six of the 12 previous COT races. "You know that now the real race is on and you gotta get everything you can out of the car every single lap."

He admits that the greatest challenge during the 10-race Chase is maintaining consistency. "One little thing happens and you find yourself either 25th or 40th or something like that."
