Kahne wants to live up to the expectations that come along with the backing. "I still want to make sure our program gets a little bit better before all that excitement is there," said Kahne. "I think it is the best sponsor in the sport and I'm really excited for that."

Owner Ray Evernham made it clear that the team will meet the expectations. "When you're given a sponsor that is use to winning, you need to figure out how to win," said Evernham. "There's no excuse for us not to figure it out. We'll have the resources going forward so that it will allow us to figure out more and more so that we can compete against the Hendricks and the Gibbs and the Roush, people like that."
