He kept gettin' into the wall a couple of times in front of me," said Bowyer. Like Biffle said we'll never know if Bowyer could have taken the win because there was never a restart.

Seven of the 12 Chase contenders finished 30th or worse, but defending Nextel Cup Champion Jimmie Johnson reclaimed the points lead with a third place finish. He had a good car for moving past a lot of other cars, but he admits it wasn't good for staying up front. "We certainly had the right car for traffic and I could make quick work of a lot of guys and get up in the top-five, but I didn't get enough time up there to make it right," said Johnson.
