(UPDATE) -- Possibly the best way to discover what makes a driver tick is to talk to his crew chief. As Jimmie Johnson prepares to run for his second consecutive Nextel Cup Title this weekend, his crew chief, Chad Kanaus, said the success of the number 48 team started when the two first met in 2001. "We clicked right away." That initial chemistry between the two has done nothing but grow since then. "Definitely midway through the first season, I think we realized things were going well and I know that Jimmie had a lot of talent and I had a lot of faith in him."
It's how they use that perfect chemistry on the track that makes the difference. "He's got an amazing ability to describe what a race car is doing, break it down for me, tell me what the car is doing at a specific parts of a corner," The number 48 team brings it's Hendrick Motorsports equipment, team chemistry and talent to Homestead on Sunday in hopes of another championship.
