(UPDATE) -- The close of the 2007 season brought the end of the Nextel Cup Series and the end of the old car design. Teams and fans will soon usher in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the full-time use of the Car of Tomorrow.

As usual, NASCAR's brief off season will come and go in short order. Racing Today will crank back up on February 4, 2008 in advance of the Budwesier Shootout on Saturday, February 9,2008.
