As Junior prepares for the Budweiser Shootout at Daytona this weekend, he is relaxed. Being part of the Hendrick dynasty is not adding any pressure on him. "It's a great opportunity. To be in that kind of equipment, knowing I'm coming here and there's cars here winning championships and races, it means a lot."

He is approaching the 2008 season with a high level of excitement about finally becoming a part of the Hendrick organization. "If you're excited and you're a racer and you want the best, you're happy about this situation."

There is one lingering question...what would Dale Senior think of calling Jeff Gordon a teammate? "I think he would be more concerned with who the owner was and what type of guy he was. I think he'd be pretty happy in that sense with this situation.
