(LAS VEGAS, NV) -- Carl Edwards won his second consecutive race to take the points lead in the Sprint Cup Series and do his trademark victory back flip off his car door. He managed to avoid a pit road penalty and a crash filled race for his ninth career victory. He gave credit to having the car of all cars. "Man that was the best car, I think. That was a really good car. I wouldn't trade anybody cars. That was a good one," said Edwards.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. came in second and agreed that Edwards had the best car in Sunday's field. "Carl wasn't going to get beat today and it was just good to put one in the bag after last week. I so desperately wanted just to finish where I think the car was capable of finishing and we did today," said Earnhardt. Edwards' teammate, Greg Biffle, took a third place finish on Sunday with what he called the best car. He said what won it for Edwards was his ability as a driver. "He ended up finishing in front of us because he used his head and he drove his cars as fast as he could get his car to go and kept his track position," said Biffle. Kevin Harvick ran right behind Biffle, finishing fourth followed by Jeff Burton finishing fifth. The next stop for the Cup Series is Atlanta after two days of testing this week at Phoenix.
