(UPDATE) -- The season opening four super speedways are out of the way and it is time for some old time racing on the rock 'em, sock 'em short track of Bristol Motor Speedway. Jeff Burton said Bristol's high-banked, half-mile surface is tough and unforgiving. "It's high intensity, high level excitement for 500. It's just the most action packed track on the circuit, there's no question about it," said Burton.
Carl Edwards said a 2007 resurfacing has made the track even more action packed for drivers. "The way that the track was changed, you could race three, close to four wide every once in a while around there, so that's going to be a spectacular," said Edwards. Kurt Busch said he wanted to improve on a sixth place finish at Bristol last summer. "And we just didn't have a shot at winning, because we were on the tight side. We see that everywhere we go with this car it's tight, tight, tight," said Busch.
