Jeff Burton in Victory Lane at Bristol. (BRISTOL, TN) -- The stars mis-aligned perfectly Sunday at Bristol Motor Speedway to give Jeff Burton his first Bristol Cup Series win. In the final laps, Kevin Harvick took out Tony Stewart who dominated the race. "I saw Stewart and Harvick get together and when I saw that I'm like, that's my chance, and jumped in the hole and a caution came out," said Burton. He then raced past Denny Hamlin who ran out of fuel in the overtime restart.Harvick's move against Stewart gave him a second place finish. "If I'd had it to do over again, I wouldn't want to spin out, but it was just one of those deals where I was just trying to get all I could, and just got a little too far," said Harvick. Instead of the race belonging to Joe Gibbs Racing with Stewart and Hamlin as one, two finishers, it was a Richard Childress Racing event with Clint Bowyer completing the one, two, three finish for RCR. Bowyer was happy for teammate Jeff Burton. "Winning here at Bristol, I know that's important to him and a special race for him to win," said Bowyer. The Cup Series now takes a weekend off before heading to another short track thriller at Martinsville Speedway.
