(UPDATE) -- All three Richard Childress Racing cars have landed in the Sprint Cup Series top-10 in points this week. Even if the three RCR drivers had not pulled off a 1-2-3 finish on Sunday at Bristol, they would most likely still maintain top-10 or top-12 rankings. Owner Richard Childress said the formula for success is simple. "We set down as a group. We're just lookin' for all the areas that they need to improve in...us as a team," said Childress.
Childress said Jeff Burton's crew chief is stepping up as a leader. "I couldn't be prouder of Scott Miller for everything he's accomplished and his knowledge and the engineers that come to the track. We got a lot of young engineers." RCR is a quiet leader in the engineering department as the only team with something called the Seven Post Machine. It a computer system that replicates a race track's profile, assisting with suspension tuning. "It's the little things in these cars that's gonna make the difference."
