He has posted three top-five finishes, one of only three drivers to do that so far this season. He is pleased but not celebrating. "But you can't too much, ya know, you can't really think too much about it. You gotta really concentrate on what's ahead of you and focus on that. It's just like winning the semifinal game, you can enjoy it just a little bit," said Earnhardt.

He is definitely feels he is in a good place now that he is on the Hendrick Motorsports team. "It seem that I have the opportunity now with the equipment and the team that's around me to enjoy more success."

There is no question that Junior is producing championship contender consistency. "We just gotta keep our heads on straight, be smart, not let our egos swell up and not let anything get the best of us and just trying to do our job."

He ranks fifth in the series points this week. That mean he hold the highest standing among Hendrick Motorsports drivers.
