Jimmie Johnson (UPDATE) -- Can Jimmie Johnson finally hit the mark on a big track this season? "It's kind of a crap shoot coming into new tracks that we haven't been on," said Johnson. And, that has been the bug in the soup for the reining Sprint Cup Series champion. The number 48 team has not mastered the so called Car of Tomorrow at the mile and a half tracks during the still young 2008 season. This weekend's race at Texas Motor Speedway is another one where the new car has not raced. "We're still early into the season that we're not panicking. We know there's a lot of racing left and a lot of time to learn and develop this car. We're going down the right road." Johnson has been on a testing marathon lately, but he is not letting the cat out of the bag on any big breakthroughs. "I don't expect that just because we tested the last couple of weeks that we're going to show up and qualify on the pole and dominate the race. It's just unrealistic." Johnson won at Texas last November, but that was in the old car. He has moved back into the top-10 in series points after a fourth place finish at Martinsville, one of only two shining moments for him this season. The other highlight was a second place finish in the Auto Club 500 in February.
