(UPDATE) -- NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points leader Jeff Burton knows how to win at Texas Motor Speedway. He is the only driver to win twice there. "Corner speed is the key element to winning at Texas," said Burton. Third ranked Greg Biffle couldn't agreement. "Texas has been one of the harder places for mile and a halfs to keep your car running well on corner exit, because of the way the banking is," said Biffle.
Tenth ranked Jimmie Johnson said keeping the new car up front is the key at Texas because the car drives totally different when it is not behind traffic. "If we can qualify up front, stay up front, maintain where we are, you are going to have such an easier day," said Johnson. Ryan Newman is ranked 11th heading into Sunday's Samsung 500. He thinks he can take advantage of several grooves that have developed over the years at the mile and a half track. "As far as moving up and getting two, three, four grooves, I think it's going to be a great race for us. I think it's going to be fast. I think even with the new car it's going to be fast," said Newman.
