(MEXICO CITY) -- The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series took the weekend off so the Nationwide Series could shine in Mexico City where Kyle Busch won his third consecutive race in the Nationwide Series on Sunday. Busch said the atmosphere at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez was perfect. "Ya know it was pretty cool there was a lot of enthusiasm out there and the fans were pretty receptive to me coming back down here and being able to win the race, so that was pretty cool," said Busch.
The most notable accomplishment for Busch was picking up his first road course win. He said the last couple of years he has really improved his road course skill. "My first year, first year and a half I was terrible, so I sort of pick up on it a little bit somehow." Busch said may winning the Nationwide Series Corona Mexico 200 will help him in the Cup Series. "We should have had some better finishes at Watkins Glen in the Cup car a couple of time and had a shot to win there a couple of years ago, so finally to be able to get a win on a road course means a lot." Marcos Ambrose finished second on Sunday followed by Scott Pruett, Carl Edwards and Patrick Carpentier.
