(UPDATE) -- What will Tony Stewart do when his contract expires at Joe Gibbs Racing at the end of the 2009 season? First, he said early consideration of other options is not about something being wrong at JGR. "There's nothing broke, there's nothing that needs fixing, there's no problems there what so ever," said Stewart.

In talking to reporters following Nationwide series practice on Thursday, Stewart said he just has to do what is best for him. "We've had a great run at Joe Gibbs Racing and it doesn't mean it's over yet. We're just gonna look at everything that's out there and a wise person once told me it never costs a dime to listen, so we're all ears."

Stewart said he has multiple offers on the table. "Right now it's just a matter of just trying to figure out what we want to do and just being smart."

He has asked an all important question of the JGR brass. "Is there a possibility that we could leave a year early, but we have not asked to be released from our contract at all." JGR President, J.D. Gibbs has said he plans to hold Stewart to his contract.
