(UPDATE) -- Carl Edwards is one NASCAR driver who is pleased with the first full-time year of running the Car of Tomorrow in the Sprint Cup Series. "I feel like this car has been a good thing for our team," said Edwards.

Edwards sports three wins, six top-fives, and nine top-10's this season, so it is no surprise that he likes the COT. "I fell like I've been able to get more done with this car than I could sometimes with the old car. I don't know if it is where we're at competitively or if it's a function of the car. I don't know."

Edwards heads to Pocono this weekend ranked fourth in the Series standings. The long road course-like track is a true first for the new car. Aside from last week's test there, Cup drivers will race the track for the first time in the COT. "I didn't think this new car would run that well through all the different types of corners. I was pleased with how well the cars ran."

Fans and drivers will find out Sunday how the COT handles the three distinct turns and one of the longest straightaways in NASCAR.
