(UPDATE) -- The 500 miles at Pocono in the new car this weekend will not be easy. Second ranked Jeff Burton said the key is making turn three heading into a long, 37-hundred foot straightaway. "The front straightaway is forever long and if you don't get off (turn) three well, you're gonna get beat up pretty badly," said Burton.
Defending race champion and sixth ranked Jeff Gordon said finding a groove with the new car at Pocono will not be easy. "You have to have a multiple groove race track with this car. It's just, you have to have it. In the past Pocono has not been a multi-groove race track," said Gordon. Ninth ranked Denny Hamlin may be the one to beat at Pocono. He figured out the track early, winning both races there in his rookie year. He said now all bets are off. "We're coming back with an entirely new race car, so we can't really run anything that we had before. We're gonna find out whether it's driver or team here very shortly," said Hamlin.
