The 2004 Sprint Cup Series Champion has only two top-10 finishes this season. "So you have the good times and you have the bad and you try to even them all out. We're working hard to try to get our way back up in this points mix and see if we can't make the Chase."

Kurt believes he can make a comeback. "Maybe it's just around the corner and I hope that we have a chance to chip away at 12th place in points. We gained 70 over the last couple of weeks, so that's what we need to keep doing."

He said a season like he is having is a character builder. "It teaches you to fight from within and to keep reaching."
