(UPDATE) -- After nine years with Penske Racing, Ryan Newman will part ways with the race team at the end of the 2008 season. Newman will not say what is next for him, but one option could have Newman completing the two-car team at the new Stewart-Haas organization.
Tony Stewart announced last week that he is leaving Joe Gibbs Racing to take 50 percent ownership and a car at what was known as Haas-CNC. "Having the opportunity to have a new challenge and to help build an organization and be a part of it and to know that whatever the results are at the end of the day that I'm directly responsible for that as a part of it is something that's important to me," said Stewart. So, are Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman meeting at some undisclosed location, working out a deal? Most insiders are betting on it. Haas General Manager Joe Custer will only says that they are looking forward to the future at Stewart-Haas Racing. "We look to not only win races, but to really enjoy it in the years to come," said Custer.
