BCBS Says Passage Of Healthcare Bill An Important Step |

(RALEIGH)- Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina CEO Bob Greczyn says the Senate's passage of the health care reform bill is an important step in the right direction to extend health care to tens of millions of Americans who do not have coverage.
BCBS spokesman Lew Borman says they will spend the next several weeks looking over the more than 700 page bill. Borman says they still have some concerns about what it will mean to their customers in terms of the cost of their health care premiums. He says the legislation will cover 31 million more Americans at the very least. Greczyn says they remain optimistic that Congress will ultimately pass positive health reform legislation that will cover everyone, control costs and promote quality care. |
