(UPDATE) -- Tony Stewart skipped media interviews after the Phoenix Cup race on April 21st. NASCAR fined him for this and put him on probation.

After this past Sunday's race at Talladega, he showed up for post-race interviews in a big way after suffering an initial wreck with Jamie McMurray. "That doesn't bother me near as much as the 38 car plowing me in the back after we've wrecked and we drive a quarter mile down the race track and I"m going in a straight line and he just plows into the back of us and turns into us and crashes us," said Stewart.

Number 38 is rookie David Gilliland. Stewart claims what Gilliland did to him in the Cup race on Sunday was a carry-over from Saturday's Busch race. "It is just frustrating when you work all day and you fight all day to get to the front...you go to the back, you work your way to the front, you go to the back and you work your way to the front again a third time and a guy that got spun out in the Busch race because of something he did takes it out on me."

Stewart insinuated that Gilliland didn't deserve to be driving a Cup car. He summed up his frustration at being knocked out of Sunday Arron's 499 and his anger toward Gilliland. "That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life."
