Edwards indicted on 6 counts

(RALEIGH) -- A federal grand jury in Raleigh has indicted two-time Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards on six counts.  The indictment came down just before 10:00 a.m. Friday.

The indictment includes four counts of illegal campaign contributions, one count of conspiracy and one count of false statements. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.  Edwards is expected to be arraigned Friday afternoonin Winston-Salem.

Friday's indictment comes after a more than two-year investigation into whether Edwards used hundreds of thousands of dollars from wealthy campaign contributors to hide his mistress.
