(RALEIGH) -- Even though Wake Technical Community College recently received a donation of $500,000, the largest grant in the school's history, that can only do so much to remedy the lack of funding they've endured in recent years. Wake Tech President Dr. Stephen Scott says he's had to deal with budget cuts for years. "Wake Tech has been working under budget cuts for the past three years. We've taken steps to become more efficient, increase our class sizes, we have added additional classes online," he said.

Scott says they're on track to serve ten percent more students in the upcoming school year, which means they're filled to capacity.

Scott says that they have not had to make any cuts to the staff.
