Thursday, 10 May 2012 09:00

The North Carolina chapter of the NAACP was one of several groups who spoke out against a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, arguing the measure is far reaching and will end up hurting more families than it was intended to help.

Barber said "Those who say religious matters should not be up for a vote, voiced support for the marriage amendment."
