Reward Increased For Chapel Hill Murder

(RALEIGH) - Gov. Beverly Perdue's office is adding $10,000 to the reward for information in the murder of UNC Chapel Hill student Faith Danielle Hedgepeth.

Hedgepeth, a 19-year-old UNC sophomore, was found dead in her off-campus apartment Sept. 7.

The total reward money for information leading to an arrest and conviction is now at $39,000.

The Chapel Hill Police Department continues to appeal to anyone with information about the death of Hedgepeth to call the police department's tip line at (919) 614-6363.

Tips can also be made to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro-UNC Crime Stoppers at (919) 942-7515.

Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.
