RALEIGH - A well-known advocate for tax reform advocate traveled to North Carolina on Thursday in support of his cause.

Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform says businesses will make investments and create jobs in North Carolina as soon as they’re certain the state is serious about lowering taxes

"They won't wait for you to get to zero before they decide to invest. As soon as they believe that that's is actually going to happen and that the steps are taken. Then you'll see investment decisions and businesses moving in to North Carolina."

Norquist says North Carolina has the highest personal and corporate income taxes in the region.
