RALEIGH -- The Obamacare roll out has seemed to create more questions than answers. But, today, President Obama announced health insurance companies would be allowed to continue their current plans into 2014. Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC spokesperson Lew Borman says the extended deadline will provide policy holders and providers with more choices.

Borman says, "We had already been actively exploring our options to provide some relief to customers who were faced with losing a plan that they liked. And this additional flexibility that the President announced, could help insurers, like Blue Cross, take steps to protect their customers for another year."

Blue Cross Blue Shield is the only health insurance company that offers plans to all 100 North Carolina counties.
