RALEIGH -- North Carolina Republican State Senator Bob Rucho sent shock waves into the Twitterverse on Sunday morning when he tweeted, "Justice Roberts' pen & Obamacare have done more damage to the USA than the swords of the Nazis, Soviets & terrorists combined." Rucho said he wasn't trying to compare the Affordable Care Act to the acts of the Nazis, but rather the overall economic impact of the war. "What I tried to do with this tweet was to raise a level of awareness for the people of the state to say we need to take a good look at this debate and fully recognize what the impacts are," he said.

Rucho also said that he doesn't feel like he should apologize for his tweet being taken out of context.
