WILMINGTON -- The Wells Fargo Foundation has donated $250,000 to the Battleship North Carolina, a World War Two era ship resting in the Cape Fear River in Wilmington. Captain Terry Bragg- Executive Director for the Battleship- says the investment is really important when you are talking about a ship that is as big as the Battleship North Carolina is.

Captain Bragg said, "The Battleship Memorial is 9 stories and approximately 40,000 tons...We are an absolutely huge structure, longer that the Cape Fear River is wide."

The money will be used to repair the ship's hull and preserve the Battleship.
