WINSTON-SALEM - The U.S. News and World Report recently released their Best Hospitals list and several hospitals in North Carolina made the cut. Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center achieved a national ranking for its 22nd consecutive year.

The hospital's CEO, Dr. John McConnell says that this recognition is all due to his staff.

"We're certainly very proud of where we're sitting today. It is a reflection of the great care, and also the national reputation of our cancer surgeons and physicians..."

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center was ranked the second best hospital in the state after Duke University Hospital in Durham. It was also nationally ranked in six specialties and was high performing in eight specialties.
