Triangle Ranks Well on List of Educated Cities

RALEIGH -- According to a recent study conducted by the website WalletHub.com, there are two North Carolina metro area's that placed in the top three on the list of most educated cities in the United States. The survey took into account several factors, including the number of people with advanced degrees, and the number of people employed in the computer industry and the sciences.

Raleigh-Cary was listed at number 2 and Durham-Chapel Hill came in at number 3 overall. According to Wallet Hub Spokesperson Jill Gonzalez, Raleigh did did well in several sub categories, but Durham also showed up highly ranked

"Durham also landed in the top ten for a couple. Actually third highest percentage of adults with a graduates degree and six for bachelors, so they actually beat Raleigh for that one."

Gonzalez also said that the study showed that there is a direct relationship between education standards and household income.
