DURHAM -- A patient is being held in isolation at Duke University Hospital, even after testing negative for Ebola. A male traveler flew from Liberia, on October 31st, before traveling, by bus, into North Carolina. He then developed a fever while self monitoring and was safely transported to Duke. Doctor Lisa Pickett, Duke University Hospital's Chief Medical Officer, says they were well prepared.

Pickett said, "We began to prepare in July and August, upon the first concerns that Ebola might be an issue in our state. We developed plans, which we have discussed with our partners at academic hospitals throughout the country."

Pickett added that the patient would be held for 72 hours and tested again before a decision would be made regarding their release.
