(CHAPEL HILL) -- WalletHub has released its 2014 Best and Worst College Cities and Towns in America lists. Chapel Hill ranks third on the best list thanks to the quality of higher education and a low unemployment rate.

Jill Gonzalez, spokeswoman for WalletHub, says there are various other reasons why Chapel Hill ranked so high. "There's a high percentage of part-time jobs for those people who need to work on the side of going to school, really low crime rate, high earning potential - about $60,000 is the median base salary there. That's pretty high!" she said.

The number of night life options, shopping centers and and sports clubs also contributed to the high ranking.
