RALEIGH -- What comes down, must go back up. At least that's the situation with gas prices which are the highest they have been all year. The average for a gallon of unleaded in the state now averaging $2.45.

Tiffany Wright with Triple A  Carolinas in Charlotte says there is a silver lining.

"If you want to talk about the good and the bad it's still $1.21 less than what we were paying this time last year, so that's good."

She says they are still predicting a strong travel season because of an improving economy.
