SANATA CLARA, CA -- The Carolina Panthers won the coin toss, but lost the big game,  against the Denver Broncos in Superbowl 50.

The final score, was Broncos 24, Panthers 10.

In the beginning of the game, the Broncos spurted to a 10-0 lead on a fumble recovery by Vaughn Miller.  The Panthers never caught up.

Security was heavy and visible Sunday around super bowl spots, from hotels in San Francisco to levi's stadium in Santa Clara. They banned drones around the stadium, and restricted flights.

This marks the second time the Carolina Panthers have made it to the Superbowl.  Panthers quarterback Cam Newton said it was hard to ignore all the hoopla surrounding the game.

After the loss, Newton, the NFL MVP, expressed disappointment.  Sadly for Carolina fans, his team did not do as well as he and they’d hoped, for a first- ever Panthers Superbowl win. The second time, was not the charm.
