(RALEIGH) -- WPTF's Mike Raley spoke with Scott Sharp of the National Weather Service about possible additional winter weather heading towards the Triangle.

Sharp was confident that the incoming system is not comparable to the storm that hit the area on Friday.

"There is a little weak system going through late tonight, early Monday morning depending on how the temperatures are doing near the surface. There could be a patch or two of freezing rain or freezing drizzle mainly here or north of the Triangle area. So we're still watching that very closely it isn't going to be any kind of an event compared to this one. It is going to be more of a nuisance event if it does occur at all."

The NC DOT urges residents to use caution when driving on icy roads. Drivers should go slow and leave plenty of following room.
