RALEIGH -- A severe weather system moved through the majority of central North Carolina on Saturday. Thomas Allen of Zebulon says the system left so much rain water was seeping into some apartments.

According to Allen, "It's so bad in front of the apartments. If you stood in it, it would go up to your knees."

Duke Energy said over 46,000 North Carolinians were without power.

Power lines and many trees are down and blocking roadways due to the severe weather. Law enforcement officials remind everyone on the road if any traffic light that does not have power or is flashing should be treated as a 4-way stop.
